A 20yr male presented with history of Injury 2 years back followed by surgery on left hip with some implants which were removed 3 weeks later due to psychiatric disturbances
He presented to us with shortening of left lower limb of 9cms (3cms supra trochanteric &6cms infratrochanteric) in femur and 3cms in leg when compared to opposite sidewith discharging sinus over proximal thigh.
it is non union subtrochanteric fractre femur(fielding type1)
ReplyDeletethe probable surgery done was DHS(Will be predictable if scar photo is there)
reason for failure may be early weight bearing or infection.
